NationalGrid Presentation: On Thursday April 26th, Miss Dorsey’s class was invited to join Ms. Z’s science class for a special presentation. NationalGrid came in and read the students a book about electricity. Ray, made a connection to the story and shared his knowledge about lightening. After reading the story students were broken up into small groups to create posters that show all different types of electricity. Andy drew a thunder and lightening storm. Ray and Alex drew power lines. Austin and Jen talked about iPads and computers needing electricity. Niki told her new friends that it’s important to unplug phone chargers when not using them. The activity ended with students receiving goodie bags that had bookmarks and other electricity related treats.
