On Friday, November 18th, Attorney Tami Fay will be reviewing new federal regulations, state regulations, and recent local case law impacting special education. Review of BSEA decisions and rulings from the past year will focus on take-home lessons for school administrators and staff. Attorney Fay will also be discussing the coming changes to homeless student rights under McKinney-Vento and what is or is not in the “best interest” of such children. Lastly, Attorney Fay will address the overhaul of the Massachusetts’ public records law and what schools need to be doing now in order to prepare for the law going into effect on January 1, 2017.
